It dawned on Seth when he realized that he basically was babysitting the kid. But he was alread bound that way and the prospect of pay was alluring to him. "Fine." As he pockted the money he was already starting to regret saying yes. What was he getting himself into agreeing to watch a kid like this. He almost sympathized with the otherone at what he must have had to put up with for this long. He realized for a minute that he hadn't been threaten at all. Then why had he said yes. There was no need for his help. She already had the boy, so his purpose must have been for another reason.

ooc:according to Mel's prodiction we're a mile away from you
bic: Seth sighed as he picked up his stuff and donned his cloak again. His eyes had changed to a blueish color. He let down his hood and attached the sword scabbard to his back. "Well which way do we go. I don't know which way Astar is. Do you have a map of somesort? Or are you planning a different destination in that small magical head of your's." Seth waited a second for a response before continuing. "Well do you? Or are you as lost as I am. Better hurry up with your decision becuase we make pretty easy targets just standing here."

Huh? *Mel had been rummaging in Sylth's bag looking for candy. Seth's comment had went in one ear, out the other, Sylth could tell. Without a word, Sylth picked Mel up and looked her in the eye.* Tell us where to go, Mellanda Haas.
*Mel stuck her tongue out at her full name.* Afta that remark, Sylthfarn Stoneface Dream-Crusher Mr. Plooff Haas the 5th, I'd probably not tell you. Unless you quit being so rude and start acting your age!
*Sylth grabbed Mel by her ankles and held her upside down. She shrieked as the blood rushed down to her head. Sylthfarn's voice never rose above a quiet monotone.* I'm tired of serving an uncouth princess, My Lady. Unless you start acting like your status and being honest with your bodyguards, paid and unpaid, we can both leave and you will be alone in a strange country. Would you like that, Mel?
*Mel pouted.* Fine. Put me down. Please. *Sylthfarn gently put her down. She sat in the dirt of the street and told them their destination.* Seth, we're going to be taking a detour that will last a long time. To be honest, I don't know how long it will take. There is a group of wizards in the Valley of Death ((darkness??)) and I have to tell something to the leader of the group. You see, cogs have been set in motion, and we are but pawns. If you value your life, family, home, the world you know, you will follow us without question. I promise as soon as we get to the capitol of Astaria, you will be free.
*Mel was acting like one far beyond her years. Such was the burden of being a seer. She could see the sufferings of thousands in the future, and she would still wake up in the morning and greet Sylth with a smile. She was incredibly strong, far stronger than Sylth by far. If she wanted to, she could see Sylth's, and her own, death.*
But first, *Mel continued,* We need horses. Three will do. The group of wizards in the forest are a mile away, at the edge of the forest. It would take a while to trek, and Sylth is already carrying my bags, and I am NOT ruining my new shoes.
OOC: Mel is not a princess, I thought I'd put that, she is the daughter of a minister of Luwa. Sylth calls her a princess because she acts like a spoiled brat sometimes.

Seth almost laughed after part of Mel's speach. "Family and home don't effect me. World yes, and life maybe. Fine so we have to meet up with this group of wizards. Great the last thing we need is a bunch of humans that have learned magic too follow us around. And now your saying we need horses. That means we have too most likely go back to the town we just went through. Well either of you care to lead the way or should I stumble about." In reality Seth wasn't totally lost in finding the town they had just been in. If he had wanted to lead the way he could have. The smell of blood and fear still hung in the air. Noticed only by the sprite.

*Lucken decided to no longer pursue the matter, it was Luna's choice as to whether or not the life of a true wizard was for her. Lucken liked Luna and he knew she had great potential, but either she did not believe in herself, or she simply wasn't used to having those around her who cared enough to help.
*Gandolf was concerned when Nyx did not come, something may have been wrong. The great wizard shook his head and turned to his ten followers and Luna.* I fear we shan't be leaving in the way I expected. And to walk would mean passing through the city of Antishua which is ruled by the armies of one who's name I dare not say while we are out in the open like this. However, there another was hast been provided. Among us is a wizard gifted in טלפורטציה which is the wizard art of teleportation. *Gandolf looked at Lucken, who stepped behind Luna before pointing to her and shaking his head. Gandolf seemed saddened, understanding everything Lucken had meant, he turned and looked off into the distance.* But a wizard who is neither ready nor willing, it has been settled...we shall walk. *Gandolf walked to the top of a grassy hill, in the near distance the town of Antishua was in plain sight, looming up like a thorny weed in a flower garden. Gandolf rolled the map tightly and stuck it into a page in Torah, then he closed the book and it became a sword. He then thrust Torah into into his robe where it would be hidden.* A group like ours will be easily singled out and searched in this town, we will split up. Sons of Thunder with Matthen, Mark with Phillip and Thomase, Lidia you will go with Jiduss and Luna, and Lucken and Petire shall come with me. Refrain thyselves from conversation, the locals -however they may seem, are completely loyal to the army and its leader. We shall meet on the outskirts of the town, none should even be therewith able to remember our coming, now is a time for silence and stealth. Shalom be with you all. *With that, Gandolf, along with Petire and Lucken headed to the town, followed by the other assigned groups who took different routes.*
*Jiduss motioned for Luna and Lidia to follow him.* Draw near, I know a quick way through the town, and remember what Gandolf said... *Jiduss winked slyly and turned around.* ...be silent.

*Luna hmphed at Jiduss's cheek. She didn't like him, he was strange, but Lidia was nice-looking. She was silent as they walked into town. Luna wanted to ask them if she would be able to leave soon; she had places to be, things to do. She didn't see the point of being with the group of master-wizards any longer. Luna wished that she was with Lucken. He reminded her of her friend, from way back when. He had the same type of attitude as Lucken. Luna pushed the thoughts that followed away. There was no point in pursuing the past.
*As the group walked into town, they past a crowded tavern. There was a crowd gathered in front, with soldiers pushing their way into the bar. Luna heard snatches of the conversation as they past.*
Poor Old John. . . They say a monster did it. . . . . . Now who's gonna serve us beer? He was lightning fast! It was inhuman!
*Luna wondered what the fuss was all about. She prayed that it wasn't another monster. She had enough monsters for a lifetime.*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stop! *Mel's commanding voice made Sylthfarn stop in his tracks.* Wait. . . *Mel took out her seeing-stone, a small earthy-green stone that helped her see into the future. Her expression changed from worry to anger. She put the stone into her pouch.*
Darn it, Gandolf! Quit changing your plans! Guys, forget horses, they're already here. Sheesh, I don't watch them for a minute they'll do something that will mess up our plans! *Mel was really ticked off, she stomped the earth with a small foot.* Sylthfarn, Seth, we're going that way, the wizard that we want is coming this way.
*Mel stomped off without a reply. She was mad. Sylth pitied this Gandolf when Mel got a hold of him.*
ooc; Sorry for any misspelled words this wasn't written on computer...
BIC; *Lidia was not one to refraim from talking for long periods of time, but as Gandolf said they should stay mostly silent she did. Making sure to keep her shortbow close at hand. Upon hearinng the comotion that was going on, LIdia turned to see the crowed gathered; being taller than most ladies and people for that matter, she could see straight over almost everyones head. She was so focused on the gathering, that she walked into Jiduss who was himself looking, through not walking. Jiduss raised an eyebrow, he seemed quite at peace.* Hmmmm, y'know I do wonder what pray is going on over there. Don't you Lidia?
*Lidia turned, making sure Luna was with them before answering.* Yes, but it is not for us to find out. Gandolf did say that... *Jiduss waived his hand airily.* Gandolf, Gandolf...well I'll tell you something else Gandolf said, we are supposed to help people and dearie me, whado you know there are people right there who look like they need help! It won't be long, at the very least we'll find out a bit about htis "inhuman" being, t'may be helpful. hmmmm? *Lidia looked at the crowd and then back at Jiduss to answer, but he had already headed toward the building, making his way through those gathered around it. She did not like thise, but figured Jiduss had good reason for what he was doing; She turned to Luna.* How old are you? You must be at least seventeen to have the strength for the protection spell I am about to teach you.*
*Gandolf, Lucken and Petire walked quietly through the city. Dispair, darkness, hunger, and death everywhere. Despite this all, Lucken's mind was focused on one person, Luna. He felt so sure about her until the conversation they had earlier in the plains. Why was she so firm about not bettering her skills as a wizard, did she care to be one? Did being around the other followers make her feel uncomfortable because of their abilities? Did being around him maker her feel uncomfortable because of his abilities as a wizard? Cerrtainly he was no where near the wizardry levels of the Sons of Thunder and Jiduss...especially not Gandolf, but he was stronger in majic than Luna. Which brought him to an even bigger question, did simply being around anyone ,ore skilled than she was make her feel uncomfortable? Lucken tried holding his questions in and not pestering Gandolf for advice while they were in Antishua, btu the need overwhelmed him. Just as he was about to speak, Gandolf did himself, it was as if the Great Wizard had heard all of his thoughts.* Lucken, worry thyself not about answers to meaningless questions. Luna is a smart individual, and any flaw therefore, in her personality can be worked out. But what you should ponder on is nay about making a relationship work, but rather if it was meant to be. There is a connection between you two, one that I felt from the moment I saw you both together. A connection that will grow into that of divine making only if you both take the right steps. For her this would mean finding out who she truly is and the abilities hidden inside of her, but the same would mean for her to give up all that she has known, come with us to the city of Gloriah, and to put her faith in what can be; a choice I remain unsure that she is willing to make. *Lucken was saddened by the news, though hopefull that maybe Luna would choose to come with them afte rthey passed through Antishua and Gandolf explained who she was to her. His attention was changed to Petire's hand, which was pointed at a gathering of people on lower ground and out of hearing range. Petire lowered his arm and then spoke inquizitively.* I wonder what's gong on down there, d'you think we aught to take a look Gandolf? *Gandolf looked through the corners of his eyes and then shook his head.* Deter your attention from the crowd, instead look further out, there are soldiers waiting and watching; none would be able to observe it from down there, but we can up here...that gethering is a trap!
Nyx was flying above the clouds, when she saw her name, spelled out.
"Ugghhhh..... Someone that knows me...." But, seeing that she IS a dragon and is in charge of herself, she decided to fly above them for awile. She watched them walk along for awhile, then they split up. Seeing Gandolf she decided to follow him, but just in case there were people, she flew farther up in the sky. They came to a town and she sighed.
"Oh joy! Now I can't swoop down without some human trying to kill me somehow.... Oh well....." Nyx said.
She flew out of the town and landed about 100 yards from the exit.
"I'll wait right here."
OOC; Malum, we are no longer out in the plains. After Nyx didn't show up, Gandolf decided that they would split up and go on foot through the town of Antishua. So you should probably edit your post, but it's good to see you posting now!
Seth followed silently behind the now pouting Mel. He didn't know what the problem was and at the moment didn't care. Though he did wonder slightly who this Gandolf was he curbed his curiosty and picked up a rock. Concentrating all his energy on the rock he slowly bent his will upon it. First the small rock broke down the middle. Then with a close of Seth's eyes it turned to dust. Casting the dust away Seth turned his gaze back to the road before them. They were getting closer to the town he could smell it. But there was another thing in the air the seemed to reach out to him. Somewhere he sensed a force. Though good or bad at this time he could not tell. But from the tension in the air from the direction that they were going, something was about to happen when the reached the place.
*Mel halted. She uttered a curse that made Sylth hit her over the head. She looked around, This isn't good, she thought. Should've gone the other way. But. . . she's over here. But where is she? Mel grasped her stone and concentrated. Swirls of color clouded her vision. All the buildings and commoners faded away. She could see people, some close, some far away. Seth glowed with the elfin power of the earth, it was a strong pulsing vibe. Farther away, Gandolf's magic lit the entire area around him with magic; his very being was made of aura. His mixed with someone else's. It was as powerful as Gandolf's, but it pulsed with a different magic. Mel felt the warm, comforting glow of the light. Mel tried to see closer, but as she looked closer, the glow got brighter so Mel couldn't see their face. No, came a small voice from the light figure, Go away, go back. Please don't look. I don't like monsters. . .
Mel pulled back. Her eyes opened to the now, where Seth was crushing a rock. Sylth watched him out of the corner of his eye. To anyone else, it Sylth's face would've looked like it was carved out of granite. But Mel could see his consternation, his worriedness, and what? Was that a bit of admiration? Mel smiled and glomped onto Sylth's leg. Sylth paused.*
I can't walk. *He said in his abrupt manner. Mel smiled.*
Doesn't matter, Sylth! We'd better stay here, for we will lose them in the crowd if we go any further. Plus, Seth will give us away. *Mel looked up at Sylth.* There's a black magician looking for "a monster" who killed someone today. I can see him asking the manager. "Who killed this guy?" He'll ask. And soon he'll come looking for us. He'll bring the person we're looking for right to us. Then he'll take us to Gandolf.
*Mel got off of Sylth and went to the side of the road where it wasn't so crowded.* They'll come.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm seventeen. *Luna replied. She leaned in closer to Lyida.* Um, is he always like that? Jiduss.

Mist floated through the town and whispered in people's ears. They would always look around fearfully and start sweating once she did it 2 or 3 times. She came across Gandolf by accident and saw the magic in him.
Hmmmm.... A warlock.....Lets see if he can sense me.. or maybe even SEE me! She thought with a thrill of excitement. She placed herself in his view point and moved around. She even waved her hand in front of his face, waiting for a response.

*Gandolf raised an eyebrow, signalling for Lucken and Petire to halt. Gandolf was not too trusting to spirits that he would just run into. Gandolf took out Torah, holding it length-ways so that the spirit could see it.* Observe thee, this is a sword of the spirit, know that I can see what I can slay, hence you are in my plain sight. You are a spirit, of which side do thy have allegiance with...light or darkness? It would be wise of mind to consider carefully your answer. *Gandolf had a feeling this spirit was not evil, but he wanted to know what she was made of, and at the same time if she was overly proud of herself.*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Lidia nodded.* Usually, but his word is usually wise to follow. Now for the spell, if you have an enemy coming at you and you want to repel him, you must look him in the eye and recite. Prooteekshun Anakk Repekell Amen. Remember that you must look the person in the eyes, or this spell won't work and it only works against one opponent. However, if you are surrounded by enemies, recite Deeshpeer Muah Bodake Amen. This will make you appear as the sun itself to anyone in the range of your voice when you say the spell, forcing them to turn away. But unlike the other, you must have your eyes closed when you say it. *Now Lidia headed towards the crowd, Jiduss had stopped at the entrance of the bar and seemed to be waiting on them.* You can practice the Repelling spell to yourself as long as you look no one in the eyes, but only use the second when you need it.
