4th one! I'll tell you when we get to 50. >_<
So, this months topic is going to be a tough one. It's called Redwall so the theme is RED! I'd like to see how you do on this one. Anything to do with the colour red. Although if the word 'blood' popped to mind, don't make it too gory. xD
There's no limit on how long or short, so break a leg. The prize is the same as always, two awesomesauce for the winner and one for the first to enter. Entries must be in by 28th June, I don't accept late entries. Post them right here and PM me with any questions.
Thanks and good luck! (You might need it)

Dartpaw's poem about Red.
Red is the colour of the headband she wore. A guosim warrior of a young age. Red is the look of her elderly dad when he gets filled with impossible rage. Two shrews on the boat, going down the river. A package they had to go and deliver. To the abbey for young sister sage.
They banked by the stream and looked into the sky. Something caught log-a-log Huffo's eye. A fire was blazing among the wood. "Jinkka get back! Many beasts could die!"
Jinkka ran off deep away from the flames. Huffo went to get help. Creatures of the renowned vermin fame Grabbed Jinkka and gagged her with kelp.
She was carried off into the woods. To be thrown into the fire to fry. Huffo came back with an entire pack. "You started this disaster! who is your master! Whoever it is will die!!"
A battle ensued between the two sides. Many survived but some woodlanders cried. Some didn't make it, an otter and hedgehog. "They were good beasts" cried the old log-a-log. Though a few heroes were slain and the vermin were dead. They saved the woods dousing the fire which had burned a bright red.
(What do you think? That one was tricky.)

[glow=red,2,300] Red is the color of a rose, but it also dots some arrows, Some picture blood, the horrible liquid of lurid.
Red represents love, the wonderfull present from above, that makes our hearts beat, and sometimes causes deceit.
Red can be hatred, witch eats at you like acid, hatred is bad for you, and it will stick to you like glue.
Red represents fire, which is very haywire, it just follows the flow, towards the deep cosmo.
That is Red. [/glow]

Here's mine. And we all know Fwiff that you'd still love it if it was gory. Though unfortunately I had a dark mood a minute before this and suddenly lost all great poetic ideas when the feeling left me.
Red is blood like a teardrop flowing. Or crisp like an apple, that’s young and growing. Red is a heart of a mother. So gentle and kind. Red is the hatred that makes us blind. Red is the color of a comet so bright. Red is a badger who feels no fright. Yes, red is a color in the eve sky. Sometimes it's on the birds that fly. Last and obvious it's the abbey we live. Above all else it's love to give.
This is the shortest one I've ever done. I couldn't think of many things that are red and are not related to my computer.

....Yeah I would love it if it was gory but you know, I didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea and go nuts. xD Great entries so far guys, you've done well. I thought it would be pretty tough. >_<

I say this everytime because you're all too good. This was tough. Okay, thanks for entering again guys and sorry I'm so late. Dart, you get the 1 awesomesauce for entering first. ;D I love poems that tell stories and you did really well with such a dodgy topic. Although I think you didn't mention it enough. The word 'red' only came up in the first and less verse and anything else was just fire or flames. And the Abbey. I didn't say what was needed I just don't think there was enough there. I'm in a mean mood today, I'm sorry, you did a really good job though I really did love it. Nice job! =D Malum, you did exactly what I expected someone to do and I'm glad because you did it incredibly well. It didn't flow perfectly with the rhyming but it wasn't exactly easy. But very good! Riven, I agree, it was a little short but sometimes short is good. I would have loved it much more if it had been longer because you had a really good thing going. It was very clever. Who do I think I am criticizing poems like this? xD Anyway, this month's winner is..... MALUM! Congratulations, 2 awesomesauce are yours. You will get them shortly. Thanks for entering you three, it is nice to see you always here.
