I had a thought... in the books Brian made a lot of locations. But never showed every single part of the Redwall world. (There are probably half a dozen continents that character's from Redwall don't even know exist.) Especially if Mossflower is meant to reflect the British isles than that hints there might be Redwall locations mirroring North America, Japan, Africa, Germany, South America. I suggest maybe having an RP board which we can make our own lands on the other side of the planet (Or just really far away from Redwall like a lot further south from Southsward) to RP on? Because unless Brian releases a Map of the "entire world" and not just Mossflower and around it then we'll never really know just how big it is... (When asked Brian will most likely say "It's as big as your imagination wants it to be") which makes the perfect point for what I'm suggesting.

5 days....
I thought it was a good idea... but then again if the places aren't in the books then technically they don't exist unless Brian writes them in himself.

No, it is a good idea, Dart! I didn't see this until now, XD. We would make the board, and then anybod who wanted to start an RP in a different culture would just start the thread and name it 'German RP', 'Moroccan RP', etc?

Different Cultures would be cool. I always supported Multiculturalism. Though the cultures never actually came to mind when I thought this up, I was mainly thinking of just using the lands themselves for more adventuring opportunies. BUT this might encourage for example more French or Japanese fans to come on the site.
I'd rather just go with us creating our own lands from scratch (Which may or may not represent a real country with cultures) and then we can choose for ourselves what kind of characters live there.

*raises hands* I am just going to speak honestly from my mind on this subject; and out of the simple desire for peace on this site. While I do like the idea of creating our own areas of the redwall world and RPing in unexplored (by BJ's chars) parts of the Redwall universe, I don't think it's particularly a good idea to split these different made up RP places by culture. When everything is 'Redwall' anyone from any culture can read the book and just enjoy the fantasy adventure but when different, ACTUAL COUNTRIES get involved then so do politics. And kids who live in/support one country may look down on/be enemies against anther country. This is just one way that the split culture idea could cause division in the site and some day make it fall. But none the less I am all for the creation and RPing of the untold parts of the Redwall world, that is a good idea. And I guess we can tell anyone who'd like to create on of these places to just get in touch with Vela for all of that.

Yep, Like I said though I support other countries I'd rather just have unexplored lands than actual real countries...
And it would be hard anyway... I don't think more than one of us would know exactly how one certain foreign country works enough to RP there.
I don't know any many countries work.

*cracks up* Eh... Heh. *cough* Nothing. Ignore my maniacal (sp?) laughter, XD.
Unexplored lands based on actual countires, though, correct? I think a middle eastern RP would be realleh cool. ;D

Okay, I guess it's settled.
Maybe we can call it. "Unknown Lands? or "Original lands" or "Unexplored areas"
Though different countries sounds interesting I do agree with Elip. (It might get very controversial)
(And what I meant by not more than one person knowing about a country is that, that would mean more than two of us would have to know about a certain places' customs/traditions/accents/)

I've read a fanfic about that... I don't really like Redwallers with guns, though.

For a name - how about the good old fashioned "Here be dragons."?
They are blank areas of map as far as the cast is concerned, after all.

Personally... we can make our own characters, why not our own lands? I already made Greenhills and wherever the heck Swish came from. (But we can't RP there.... ) All it can do is increase our imagination and what's wrong with that?

I did this on my site. ( Meetah.proboards.com ) For Regina Amor I made her a castle. Up in the northlands.
