In case the meaning behind the subject flew right over you, this is a list of my characters. Please note that I may edit over time seeing as I'm a forgetful nincanpoop.
Vermin
The Strongjaw Pirates-
Bio:
The Stronjaw Pirates can classified as your run-of-the-mill pirates. They loot, they plunder, and they kill. Simple as that. For over a year though they have been taking over shipyards and small colonies/tribes in the south with ambitions to control the sea trade routes. So far they have already made a nice business amongst the various islands but have plans to expand-particularily northward...
Ship: Death's Door
Crew members: 73 men of various vermin species
Slaves?: Yes
Name: Grosvenor the Fanged
Gender: Male
Species: Stoat
Occupation: Corsair Captain
Appearance: Large and burly with bristling, brown fur and large claws. He's missing a finger on his left hand that he lost in a battle with an owl and is covered in various scars.
Personality: Grosvenor is reputated as gruff and greedy and it was he who single handidly began the onslaught on the southern isles. He is merciless in his actions and has no trouble killing even the closest of friends since he views all other creatures as pawns. He is constantly irritable and high strung and has been known to 'accidently' kill others in mindless fits of rage.
Intelligence: Grosvenor is pretty clever actually seeing as how you need to be clever to even become a corsair captain, but he tends to rely on brute strength, intimidation, and old fashioned luck.
Morals: As said, Grosvenor considers others as pawns (at best) so it can be safely said that he has no empathy for others at all. He does quickly judge others though and deals harsh punishments to anyone who defies him in anyway.
Weapons/Fighting style: Grosvenor carries no weapons as he believes them to be impractical since they get lost so easily. Instead he prefers hand to hand combat and will even clamp down on others with his strong jaws.
Strengths:
-He has plenty of physical strenght primarily in his jaws.
-He has an iron hold over (nearly) all of his crew. When he tells them to jump then they jump.
Weakness:
-He doesn't wear armor so he isn't very well protected
Enemies:
-Even though he pays the weasel well, the corsair captain keeps a careful watch on his assasin Finley. He knows fully well that the weasel has no loyalty to him and can kill him at any time so he plays it cautious around him.
Name: Finley Glen
Gender: Male
Species: Weasel
Occupation: Payed assasin (currenly employed by the Strong Fang pirates).
Appearance: Shorter than most weasels by about a foot but lanky. His fur is a handsome cheshnut brown, and his eyes are black and usually narrowed. He dresses in a plain grey jerkin, a simple belt, and a bow-and-arrow set strapped to his back. A fang tends to stick out from under his lip.
Personality: Finley is more tired than evil at least compared to other vermin. Although still fairly young, he's seen (and has caused) more than his share of death, and whatever optimism he once had has faded away. He can thus be classified as gloomy and a pessimist. He prefers to keep a professional face at all times since, for him, 'work' is never done and seldom loses his composure.
Intelligence: His I.Q can be considered 'average:' not a lot but enough to get by. Compared to most vermin though, that is quite exceptional. He even knows how to read and write.
Morals: Despite his occupation, Finley makes a firm point to never kill children. This doesn't mean he wont kick them around or stop a crewmate from killing them instead of course.
There is a possibility that he does feel a little grief over what he has done in his life. He subconsciously avoids places of death and misery such as where the slaves are kept and recent battlefields. Otherwise he takes his job as a killer pretty well.
Weapons/Fighting style: Being an assasin, Finley rarely fights in actual combat. Normally he just poisons his targets or shoots them from a distance with his bow and an arrow. When things do get hairy, though, he fights with a sickle he picked up and he's no slouch either. Afterall, he's the main reason why the Strong Fang pirates have made so much progress in the south.
Strengths:
-He is very good at being able to sneak up on and trail targets without being noticed. He can even spend days just doing this with little effort.
Weaknesses:
-For all of his professionalism, Finley finds himself under the very odd affliction of becoming sympathetic towards targets once he gets to know them.
-He considers the above statement something as an embarrasment so he avoids trying to like people.
